Yard Drainage Simulator
Make it rain on a virtual yard, choose your soil and drain solutions and watch water pond or drain away.

Four quick steps.
- 1
Pick your soil
Clay, loam or sandy: soil decides how much water soaks in.
- 2
Set the storm
Light shower to downpour, with a lot or a little roof area.
- 3
Add solutions
Toggle a French drain, channel drain, catch basin, dry well or regrade.
- 4
Watch the result
See where water collects, how much, and whether the yard stays dry.
About this tool.
Is the simulator accurate?
It uses simple, realistic ratios for soil absorption and drain capacity to show how the pieces interact. Real yards vary, which is why we visit.
Why does clay flood faster?
Clay absorbs water very slowly, so most of a heavy rain runs off or sits on top.
Can I send my setup to you?
Yes. Use the form below the tool and we will take a look.
