What drives the cost of drainage and lining.
Every property is different. This guide explains what moves the price so your proposal makes sense.

Why we do not post one price.
A twenty-foot channel drain at a garage door and a two-hundred-foot French drain around a hillside house are both called drainage work, but they are not the same job. Sewer lining is the same: a short lateral under grass is a different project than a long main under a driveway.
So we give a free visit and a written proposal with the scope, the materials and the price. In the meantime the tools below give you a rough planning range so you can think about budget and phasing.
Yard drainage factors.
- Length and depth
- More trench and deeper trench mean more labor, more stone and more pipe.
- Soil and rock
- Heavy clay, rock and roots slow digging and can call for different methods.
- Access
- Narrow side yards, steep slopes and fences can rule out machines and add hand work.
- The outlet
- Daylight on a slope is simple. A tie-in to storm drainage or a dry well adds work.
- Surface restoration
- Sod, rock, mulch, pavers and landscaping repair are part of the finished result.
- Number of systems
- Many yards need a combination: a French drain, basins and downspout lines together.
Pipe lining factors.
- Pipe length and diameter
- Lining is priced largely by length and size.
- Condition
- Heavy roots, scale or offsets mean more cleaning and preparation first.
- Access points
- Lining needs an entry point, such as an existing cleanout or a new one.
- Depth and what is above
- In a dig repair, concrete, trees and structures above the pipe drive the cost. Lining avoids most of it.
- Number of connections
- Branch lines are reopened after lining, which adds time.
- Camera findings
- The inspection decides whether lining, spot repair or replacement is right.

Can I do the project in phases?
Yes. We prioritize the areas that threaten the house first.
Can I pay over time?
Many customers do. Financing options and terms vary, so ask us what is available when you request your proposal.
Do you give written proposals?
Yes, in plain language, with the scope, materials and what is included.
